Travelling to PRONI
Metro Buses 26, 26A and 26B serve PRONI and Titanic Quarter also departing from Wellington Place.
For the 26 and 26B alight at the Premier Inn just after passing the SSE Arena, Belfast. The PRONI building is directly across the road.
For the 26A alight at the Citibank building after passing the SSE Arena, Belfast then take the next left off Sydenham Road. This takes you into Titanic Boulevard and PRONI is on the left hand side.
For the return journey to Belfast City Centre Metro Buses stop at the Bus Stop on the Queen’s Road to the rear of PRONI dependent on the time of day.
Generally buses to the City Centre throughout the day will be due at the Queen’s Road Bus Stop between 15 minutes and 20 minutes past each hour and also between 45 minutes and 50 minutes past each hour.
However note that in the evenings between 3.50pm and until 5.35pm there will be no Metro buses going to the City Centre stopping at the Bus Stop to the rear of PRONI on Queen’s Road.
If you wish to travel to the City Centre by Metro Bus between these times then use the Bus Stop on Sydenham Road at the front of the former Carillion building just opposite the end of Titanic Boulevard. Buses are due here around 4.20pm, 4.50pm and 5.20pm.
The Glider Service – G2 serves Titanic Quarter. For the majority of each day the Glider operates to Titanic Quarter every 10 minutes to and from Wellington Place.
The nearest Glider stops to PRONI are a short 5 minute walk away from PRONI at
- the front of the SSE Arena
- close to Titanic Belfast / Belfast Met
Note that the Metro Bus Stops are closer to PRONI than the Glider Stops.
Titanic Quarter Station is only a short walk from PRONI, about 10 minutes away on foot. If travelling from Belfast, cross the footbridge onto Sydenham Road. Turn left from the footbridge onto the Sydenham Road then take the first turn on the right onto Titanic Boulevard. PRONI is on the left hand side.
Belfast Central Station is about 20 minutes walk away. Head towards the SSE Arena, Belfast. Pass the SSE Arena, Belfast on your left then go past the junction and turn left at the Citibank building onto Titanic Boulevard. PRONI is on the left hand side.

PRONI is about 1½ miles from Belfast City Hall. Cross Queens Bridge and keep left, passing the SSE Arena, Belfast on your left. Pass through the junction and Titanic Boulevard is on the left immediately after the Citibank building. PRONI is on the left hand side.
If approaching by the M1 Motorway from the west, continue onto the Westlink and then onto the M3 (heading towards Bangor). At junction 1 take the A2 exit to Belfast (the exit for the SSE Arena, Belfast), turn left towards Sydenham Road then take the first right onto Sydenham Road. Turn left onto Titanic Boulevard immediately after the Citibank building and PRONI is on the left hand side. .
If approaching by the A2 Sydenham bypass from the east, take the exit on the right towards Dee Street. Turn left at Dee Street then at the roundabout take the first exit onto Sydenham Road. After about half a mile turn right into Titanic Boulevard. PRONI is on the left hand side.
If approaching from the north by the M2, continue onto the M3 (heading towards Bangor). At junction 1 take the A2 exit to Belfast (the exit for the SSE Arena, Belfast), turn left towards Sydenham Road then take the first right onto Sydenham road. Turn left onto Titanic Boulevard immediately after the Citibank building and PRONI is on the left hand side.

There are other car parks available in Titanic Quarter close to PRONI, including at Belfast Metropolitan College and the Gateway car park at the Premier Inn. The Parkopedia website carries details of other parking options in the area.
There are two disabled parking spaces available to Blue Badge holders free of charge opposite the main entrance to PRONI. In addition, there are sixteen parking spaces on Titanic Boulevard which are pay and display to all, including Blue Badge holders.
Elmwood Building, Queen’s University Belfast Location Map

Limited free parking including some disabled spaces is available on the Saturday morning in front of the Elmwood Building, (accessed from Elmwood Avenue) and in front of the neighbouring Fitzwilliam Building, (accessed from Fitzwilliam Street). Barriers will be up on the day to allow access. On-street parking in neighbouring streets is also free but spaces are sometimes hard to find. Free parking is also available in the McClay library car park on aSaturday (marked 11 on the location map, parking accessed from Botanic Avenue) and it is a 7 minute walk from there to the Elmwood building.
